Thermos Foogo
Great stainless steel bottles with different options to choose from. The Foogos range from sippy cup shapes to sports bottles, among others. Made of safe materials, based on the following info:

Klean Kanteen
Klean Kanteens are BPA-Free, non-leaching, and a sustainable bottle choice for your lunchbox. They come in great colors and you can choose among 4 different types of bottle caps. Kids would do best with the sippy or sport caps. Their wide mouths allow ice cubes (an advantage over Sigg), and they are dishwasher friendly. Klean Kanteen website states that only 23% of plastic water bottles get recycled in the US with 38 billion bottles going into landfills each year. Do you part and buy reusable! Price is about $15 and up.
Sigg Bottles
With 144 bottle designs and 22 interchangeable lids, you may be overwhelmed with choices with the Sigg bottles. Sigg bottles are non-leaching, durable, leak-proof, and suitable for all beverages. SIGG bottles are also non-toxic and dishwasher safe. The mouths on these bottles are a bit narrow, so you will need a bottle brush to clean them. In 2006, Backpacker magazine named Sigg “The World’s Toughest Water Bottle” after a test of different water bottle brands against a canon full of golf balls. The Sigg was the only one left standing! A good investment for a durable bottle — price is about $17 and up.
Thermos Funtainer
Funtainers are similar to the newer line of Foogos, but intended for older kids. The containers are stainless steel, but it is unclear on the website what the lids for the Funtainers are made of. (The Foogo line specifies BPA-Free)
Funtainer bottles have:
Size Comparisons
This picture gives a good idea of the relative sizes of these bottles. I have used the Sigg bottles for my kids for a few years, and they have held up great. My sister-in-law uses the Klean Kanteens for her kids, and I just bought a 27 oz Klean Kanteen for myself. I think all of these bottles are good choices, it just depends on your taste and what you want. I am not sure if the straws on the Funtainers & Foogos would end up getting nasty since I don’t have any experience with them. I like that the Klean Kanteens and Siggs are fully cleanable.
