Go Back to School Green with Back2Tap Customized Bottles

Posted by: Meg In: Lunchbox Products

custom-stainless-steel-bottlesSearching for a great school fundraiser to start the school year off right? Check out Back2Tap. They offer customized stainless steel bottles in various sizes that can show off your school logo while you promote environmental awareness. I think these bottles would be a great hit for kids of all ages. I love them because they are eco-friendly and personalized to your school, sports team or company. The quality is great, too, and would be sure to last years and save hundreds of plastic bottles from going in the landfill or recycle bin.

The Back2Tap Campaign features eco-friendly, high quality and customized stainless steel bottles (12, 18, and 27-ounce sizes) as well as fair-trade organic cotton shopping and produce bags. I think the 18 oz bottles would be ideal for our elementary school kids as a take along to school or in a lunchbox. The large 27 oz would be best for sports teams who want a their team or school logo printed on these cool bottles.

To make things easy for PTA or team sport fundraising, the Back2Tap web site supports the programs to be run on-line using your assigned school or group code, or you can order bottles and bags off-line in bulk.

Attributes of these bottles include:

  • Food grade 18/8, type 304 stainless steel
  • No leaching, no lining necessary (BPA Free, and no other potential harmful materials)
  • 1.5 inch wide opening for ease of cleaning and adding ice (YEAH!)
  • Dishwasher safe & cup holder compatible
  • Bottle dimensions: 7in. (H) x 2.75in. (W); weight: 6oz.  (Heights vary according to the 3 sizes available.)

Prices vary based on size and quantity ordered. For instance, if you order 100 of the medium sized bottles, Back2Tap will customize them with a single color logo for $9.75 per bottle. The bottles could then be sold for $13-$15 each at school events to raise several dollars per bottle.  This could be a great way to raise several hundred dollars for your school while promoting school spirit and protecting the environment.

If you have concerns about tap water safety, be sure to visit this Tap Water Facts Page and the EPA’s Page on Tap Water Safety. If you are still concerned, consider buying a home water filter or keep a water filtering pitcher in the fridge. Please, make efforts to use a reusable water bottle and together we can make a difference. Visit Back2Tap and start your fundraiser today!

These are fantastic and I love the name. Back2Tap really is what we need to do. Most people don’t even realize that a lot of the bottled water they drink comes from municipal water or sources that aren’t even put up to the standards that municipal water plants are. Tap water is great and better for the environment!

Mimi,
I’m glad you like these bottles, too! There is so much waste put into the manufacturing and transport of “spring” water, when as you say much of that water is of equal or lesser quality than water out of the tap. Plus, statistically only about 1/3 of the plastic bottles used for bottled water is actually recycled…. a world of waste. Thanks for visiting and keeping up with eco friendly products :)

I'm Meg, a stay home Mom of 2 interested in promoting healthy, low waste lunches for kids and grownups. I aim to present good recipe ideas for packed lunches and to analyze lunchbox products currently available. I encourage involving your kids in all aspects of food. From gardening, to nutrition, to enjoying recipes and making some up... there is a lot to learn and enjoy. Cooking with kids in the kitchen is both spectacularly messy and fun, and generally well worth the extra cleanup time...
