I'm a busy mom of 4 kids and often have three lunches to pack in the morning, so packing our bentos is a streamlined process the majority of the time. It's important to me that the kids have a healthy variety of foods, and I think it's important to *them* that their food be visually appealing. Luckily those two goals can be achieved pretty simply with a little practice. :) I can now get a bento lunch packed in under ten minutes and I'm usually pretty pleased with the results. :) I am also intimidated by very intricate bento boxes.
