These are great, relatively healthy dessert treats for a lunchbox, and kids love to help make them!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered milk
- 3/4 cup honey
- Optional ingredients: crushed cornflakes, Grape Nuts, crushed almonds or walnuts, rainbow sprinkles, crushed graham crakers (chocolate or regular), crushed oreos… use your imagination!
Combine peanut butter, powdered milk, and honey in bowl and roll into 1 inch balls. Roll each ball into 1 or more of the optional ingredients. Place balls on wax paper and freeze or refrigerate. (Frozen ones do best in the lunchbox so they don’t get squishy by lunchtime…).
Tips: use homemade peanut butter for an even yummier treat. Use local honey if possible, since local honey supports local farmers and can help with allergies.
