A Month of Lunch Ideas: Free Lunchbox Menu Planner

Posted by: Meg In: Lunchbox Ideas| featured

lunchbox-plannerAre you in search of a site that spits out a month of custom lunch box menus based on your kids food likes and dislikes? Visit Lunchbox Magic’s Tool that lets you scan through a list of common foods and click on the ones your kid does not like. The site then presents a month of well rounded lunchbox meals that your kid will (ok… may…) eat!  You can click on specific days that don’t sound so yummy to get additional ideas… a truly custom touch.

lunch-menus The site is based in the UK, so a few of the foods aren’t so common in the US, but the site is great for presenting a few new food items and combos you might otherwise not have thought of.  Also keep in min the site is promoting a healthy kid beverage that is a UK company, a product probably not found in US markets.

I like this planner better than others I have found because it is very kid specific. Dump in the likes and dislikes for each child and you get kid specific lunch box menus.  You can also sign up to have a new lunch menu emailed to you each month. Definitely worth a try! Have you found any others?

Liz,
Yep, I think the tool is pretty awesome, too! I’ll search it sometimes just before heading to the grocery store so I can diversify and keep my kids lunchbox interesting. Thanks for visiting!

Jessica,
Wow, packing 5 lunches a day must be challenging! Especially if any of your kids are picky. The internet is a great resource for kids lunch boxes. As you come across good lunchbox ideas for your kids write down your favorites. Over time you will have a great list of lunches you can pack for your kids. Thanks for visiting!

Vern,
Thanks for visiting! There are some great ideas on the LA Times list… one of my favorites for grownup lunchboxes is the Cherry, Honeydew, and Apricot fruit salad with basil and white wine. Yum! I will also have to try the butternut squash soup on my kids–the sweetness of that soup could make for a pretty yummy school lunchbox in the wintertime. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Deir,

Thanks for visiting xobobox and leaving a comment. Unfortunately, it looks like the menu planner was removed from the site… bummer because it was pretty cool! I searched and found another that is worth checking out… visit:
