It has been a fun experience for both of us and he loves the attention he gets from his friends in the lunchroom for having the coolest lunch at the table! :) Best part? It's encouraged him to try some new foods he was otherwise averse to and packing bento-style is a waste-free and environmentally friendly practice. Woot! Unfortunately, there is always the potential threat of kids getting hold of bags of candy that have been contaminated in some way. However, I think this can happen with all types of candy and not specifically Skittles. There are always a couple of terrible stories that come up around Halloween, when kids are given candies from various strangers. In one of the instances on your blog, it seems that a child ended up with a bag of skittles that had been opened, tainted with drugs, and refilled. Parents, always try to double check and make sure your kid's candy bags have not been tampered with! In searching online specifically for "Skittles", I also realized that the word "Skittles" is also used as a slang or street term for the drug Coricidin in recreational uses. For those with teenagers, don't let something like this go unnoticed over your head as your kids "talk Skittles" in front of you. Always good to be aware! Take care, Meg Kimberly,

It is so important, I try to keep my food as healthy as possible, unfortunately I have no imagination when it comes to anything culinary:P haha I am not sure how much this will effect you, but there is some pretty scary news about skittles having drugs in them, I think this is a pretty important thing for people to know.
