Lunchbox

xobobox: recipes, products, and more…

About me

MegMy name is Meg, and I am currently a stay home Mom in Knoxville, Tennessee.  I created xobobox as an online resource for lunchbox products and recipes. Through this site, I hope to promote healthy eating and low waste packaging, both at home and on the go.  Although most people associate packed lunches with kids, I will also address lunchboxes for adults as gas and economy issues create less money for eating out. For those who work outside the home or for families on the go during the day, packing a lunch an extra day or two a week is not only healthier for your body, but will save gas, time, and money.

I have a daughter in public elementary school and a son in preschool. I have been amazed at the large amount of waste created in the school cafeteria environment, which is my main motivation in creating the xobobox webpage.  From my observation, many kids who bring their lunch to school have lunchboxes full of excess packaging around over processed food.  Packing a healthy lunch can be easy, economical, and environmentally friendly.  I hope the collaboration on this site will steer us all towards a healthier and more sustainable environment by promoting healthy recipes (for you and the environment) and by reducing food packaging waste.

I aim to use comments on xobobox and information I learn from other lunchbox related websites as a research tool in better understanding lunchbox products — everything about what people like and don’t like about the products currently available. With this knowledge, I dream of one day starting a company that promotes new and better lunchbox products.

Please keep in mind that I am new to the blog world — I will do my best to contribute interesting content (at least, for those of us lunchbox obsessed!) and do things the right way in terms of being responsive, maintaining blog etiquette, etc. Suggestions welcome and appreciated  :)

I look forward to reading comments and posts from users so that I, too, can learn new lunchbox ideas!

About

I'm Meg, a stay home Mom of 2 interested in promoting healthy, low waste lunches for kids and grownups. I aim to present good recipe ideas for packed lunches and to analyze lunchbox products currently available. I encourage involving your kids in all aspects of food. From gardening, to nutrition, to enjoying recipes and making some up... there is a lot to learn and enjoy. Cooking with kids in the kitchen is both spectacularly messy and fun, and generally well worth the extra cleanup time...
